Von Preushenk's Jäger Kompanie

Our Mission

We represent German Jägers of the American Revolution as well as accompanying German camp followers. We, as a group and individuals, are dedicated to researching and portraying the life and roles of the Hessian Feldjäger Corps under Johann Ewald during the American war of independence.

We are dedicated to accurately portraying the lives and roles of these individuals. As a unit we also portray the roles of hessian camp followers and artisans that traveled with the army. The roles of these individuals is equally integral to those who have a military impression. Without their contributions to the camp we would not be the group we are.

Here, meet our founder Keven O'Donnell, and how are unit came to be!

Get a glimpse of what camp life was like in the 18th century, via a short TikTok found here featuring our very own Jane Pilato. And a bio from Mrs. Meg Updike, our head of camp life.

Here, receive orders from our Rittmeister, Daniel Macarthy and our our Überwachmeister and Ünterwachmeister Bruce Walker and Thomas Updike.

Additional information about our unit can also be found here in regard to dress and equipment!
